Here is the link to my poem, which was published in the Fall issue of Sweet Tree Review. It is a quarterly online publication, and the editors have been so great. Happiness!

Some of my pain must be healed
You know it's going to be a weird day when your ex-husband sends a text with a love note at 6:00 a.m. Of course, he hadn't put his glasses on yet when he sent the "Good morning, Babe" text to his ex-wife, promising he left a surprise for me.
After I read the text, I sat down on my bed and laughed. It wasn't a fake laugh, the kind I used to use to mask my pain about this sort of thing. It was a genuine heart felt laugh at the absolute hilariousness and irony of this. I realized afterward that some of my pain has gone away. Of course, his hasn't, especially when he had to send the text of apology back to me.
Life has moved on for me. However, I am going to be enjoying this little mess up for a few days. He he. I may laugh some more.
