Anniversary Honeymoon

This may be my new favorite pic of us . . .

We went to Castle Creek Inn to celebrate both our first anniversary, and the honeymoon following our Temple sealing.  It was a wonderful couple of days.

We stayed in the "Romeo and Juliet" room, and it was beautiful.  Not overdone, just really nice.

They brought our breakfast to us each morning, and we ate on our own private balcony.  Very romantic.

In back of the Inn was a pretty little garden, complete with pond and rock paths.  We enjoyed walking there.

We are truly happy together and definitely still honeymooning.  

A day long awaited

Temple day.

Paul and I had a long journey in life before finding each other, but when we did, we knew this was home.  I am grateful each day that I have found my "one."

Yesterday (July 14) we received our Endowments in the Payson temple.  My close friend Rynell Lewis was my escort, and our friend Brian Jensen was Paul's.  When we came out of the temple after dark, it was just stunning to look at.  Lovely day!

 

Good things, a thankful weekend

The Scouts have been working on back packing hikes, as a goal this year.  A couple of weeks ago, Carson hiked to the Y with them.  Friday and yesterday, they hiked Timpanogos and camped near the top.  They apparently had torrential rain and wind up there, and mostly abandoned their tents for an old shelter already in existence.  Kind of a rough night. This is what Carson looked like when he arrived home yesterday, sore but safe.

Today is Sunday.  A tearful and grateful one for this mom.  This morning I went with Carson and was present as he received the Patriarchal blessing, which he requested to have.  It was a very heartfelt experience for us both.  I am so proud of this compassionate and strong young son of mine.

Dakota dressed up and came to church with us today.  He is feeling inspired to attend again, and to become even closer to God.  As I sat in church, with my two tall sons beside me, I felt so many emotions.  My heart is full of gratitude for them, and for miracles.

Catching up again... July

Carson's Youth Conference this year was a missionary experience theme.  It was all fun and great for him, except I couldn't stop laughing about this combo. Hmmmm... something is not right here.  Ha ha.

Micah and I checked out Orem's Summerfest.  We rode some rides, listened to a great band, and of course... ate a Snowie.

The 4th of July was sooo busy.  We watched the Candy Bomber make his last drop at the Scera. 

 Absolutely an amazing sight!  We also went to Balloon Fest, Colonial Village, Cries of Freedom display,  had a water fight, barbecued, and set off fireworks.
