The promised "catch up"

Here are some pics of early 2014 (January, February, March, April).  Paul and I were dating, and driving back and forth constantly.  He came to Provo one weekend, and I drove to Ogden the next.  We were together every weekend until we got married.  Good times.  Falling in love!

Quiet

I have been sick for a few days, so I am recovering today. However, I am also writing. It feels so good to say that. Writing!

It's a new day, and I am still here.

Hello, my dear ones. Well, as you well know, my first marriage ended in 2012. Change lead to grief and sadness, sadness turned to loneliness, then on to strength and healing.
Now two and a half years later, I am remarried to a wonderful man, and we all have a very different life. I am aware that I owe you a "catch up" and that will be forthcoming. However, for now, let's just say that everyone has grown a few inches taller. Except for me, of course, but that's another story. 😊 I will get internet back in a few days and plan to commit more time to this blog, which I really do love. Happy day, Everyone! I have missed you.

Happiness Ahead: A catch-up

I have been absent from this blog for a few months.  I blame it on the new man in my life, who has been incredibly distracting : )   We were introduced in January, and went on our first date on Feb. 1st. This date lasted for 8 hours and included dinner at Los Hermanos, exploring Antique shops, and seeing "Saving Mr. Banks."  Wow, we had so much fun together.

Paul had traveled from Ogden, so he stayed at a hotel.  The next morning, I went there to tell him good-bye.  That long "goog-bye" turned into another 10 hour day together, which ended after watching the sunset from Slate canyon.  Beautiful!

Library days and nights

At work on Tuesday night, right after I had received the good news about Carson,  I saw the most beautiful sunset.  I was upstairs in the Junior Non-fiction, when the entire room lit up and a golden orange color swept over me and everything in the room.  I looked toward the window and saw this brilliant sunset (which the pic does not do justice to).  For a moment, I was just mesmerized by it.  I wanted to share it with the Librarian, who was helping a patron at her desk.  I said something to her, and then pointed at the window like Moses pointing at the Red Sea in the movie.  Yes, it was that good ;)  I swear, in the two minutes it took her to be able to look, the sun went down.  Just like that!  She looked to where I was pointing and saw only a dark sky.  I was only slightly embarrassed, and I'm sure she thinks I need medication, but I felt blessed to have witnessed this event.  It seemed like it was all for me :)  I dream big.

So . . . every muscle and joint in my body is sore and Ibuprofen is my friend.  I haven't shelved books in a years time.  My memory had forgotten how I suffered when I first started doing library work.  The constant standing, bending, reaching, squatting down, and pulling carts of books is tough.  I am grateful for this job, and the opportunity it affords me and allows me to work in a place I enjoy.  Thankful.

Great news!

Carson has been wearing an event monitor since mid-November, due to some chest pain and dizziness he was having.  Dr. Williams (Carson's Cardiologist) called me yesterday, and said that he has gone over the recordings from the monitor and does not believe his chest pain is Cardiac at all.  Woo hoo!  Dr. Williams is always thorough, and even had the rhythm specialist at Primary go over the test results as well.  There is no way to explain in words how grateful I am to have an amazing heart doctor for my son, and to have Primary Children's Hospital so close.  What a blessing it is.  I wonder how many people are aware of the highly skilled and kind staff there.  They live up to their motto, "The child first and always."

Happy New Year!  I wish that 2014 will be a year that brings all of us beautiful things.  This year, I pray for good health for all my family, healing for all of us, and to find the person that I know I am.
