On July 18, 2014, at the Mazer Memorial Chapel at Hill Air Force Base, Paul and I were married. It was an intimate and beautiful ceremony, attended only by our children, Paul's mom, and our Stake president (who married us) and his wife. Paul served in the military for 13 years and our Stake president is a Chaplin. It all came together so lovely that we should be married in this place.
New daughters Jayne, Amy, and Brianna helped me get ready. When I opened the door to step out, I saw my oldest son Dakota, sitting there in the foyer, waiting to walk me down the aisle. My heart skipped a beat. It was his place to be by my side. To escort me to this new stage in my life. Tears began and I had to fix up again. What a moment that I will never forget.
We were married!! The sun was shining outside and the flowers were in bloom, and our children were very happy for this day.
Paul and Stacy always!

More courtship and then engagement
Paul has taken a place in my life in a way no words can explain. I thought I knew what it was like to be in love, but I realize now that I probably did not. Not like this. Paul's presence has brought the colors back to my life, and his love and loyalty have renewed my faith in relationships. Here is a photo recap of our camping trips (with the kids), drives, dates, etc.
In April Paul asked me to marry him. We decided on July. These are a couple of our engagement photos, which were taken on the Alpine Loop near Cascade Springs. Dakota, Carson, and Micah were our photographers.

Easter in Kanab
Easter 2014 was our first vacation together. We took Carson and Micah along, and went to visit my best friend Katie and her husband Scott at their beautiful new house in Kanab. We stayed for three days and had a great time. So much fun for all of us! We can't wait to go back.
We explored the "Little Hollywood" part of town and even searched for some treasure.
Of course, all the "boys" had to pose in Scott's corvette. They all got to go for a ride too.
The Easter Bunny (aka Katie) even left eggs in the sage brush for the boys.
We all hesitated to leave our friends and the beautiful desert, but went home with fun memories.

The promised "catch up"
Here are some pics of early 2014 (January, February, March, April). Paul and I were dating, and driving back and forth constantly. He came to Provo one weekend, and I drove to Ogden the next. We were together every weekend until we got married. Good times. Falling in love!
2nd date. Slate Canyon.
Valentine's Day 2014. We went to the Planetarium in Salt Lake and took a selfie on "Mars."

Quiet
I have been sick for a few days, so I am recovering today. However, I am also writing. It feels so good to say that. Writing!

It's a new day, and I am still here.
Hello, my dear ones. Well, as you well know, my first marriage ended in 2012. Change lead to grief and sadness, sadness turned to loneliness, then on to strength and healing.
Now two and a half years later, I am remarried to a wonderful man, and we all have a very different life. I am aware that I owe you a "catch up" and that will be forthcoming. However, for now, let's just say that everyone has grown a few inches taller. Except for me, of course, but that's another story. 😊 I will get internet back in a few days and plan to commit more time to this blog, which I really do love. Happy day, Everyone! I have missed you.
