Christmas and Tolkien

Today has been spent making my Christmas decorated house also Hobbity.  We have a tradition that started last year.  My friend Sara bought tickets for the first midnight showing of "The Hobbit"  for a group of us from the library.  The Saturday before the movie, I threw a party at my house to get us in the mood for the movie.  It was so much fun!  So, we are repeating it again this year for "The Desolation of Smaug."  My kids and I have been cleaning and transforming our house.  Tomorrow night, we plan to have a "merry gathering" of friends in our warm Hobbity house.  We even have dragons and gold.
